SUNROOF ALIGNEMENT ??

When I open my sunroof I always have to make sure visually that it is properly closed . Is there a way to unsure that the sunroof goes from vent position to fully closed and also from the open. It seems that my roof goes from vent to open sunroof without stopping and sometimes I forget to check and these are the times that it rains
Help.......
