V8 in a 142: Please HELP! 140-160

Hi.
The simpliest way to get more out from your B20 is this way, if you dont want a turbo:

A modified head, grind of about 3mm from the head and take some materials out of the inlet and outlet holes. Bolt on a set of double carbs, Weber DCOE 45 is a good choise. and for the finish a 2,5" exhaust ssytem with an exctractor manifold. (Header) With a camchaft, mark Volvo-R cam, and a blueprinted engine you will get around 160-180 BHP.

The other way is to Blueprint the engine, Buy a Turbo conversion kit. depending on how far you are tempting to go, for a start i sugest a draw trough system. Notice that you will have to make the intake system very compact, because othervice you will get the air/fuel mixture to becom "drops" again and then you will have trouble with detonations. Add an water injection system to this delicious creation and you get an 140 that will run the quarter mile around mid 14 guaranteed. you could estimate around 185 BHP but you can take out more if you modifies the engine more. (look out my other posts)
Once i have an 140 with this setup and itīs was a nice and fun car to drive.
A chevy 350 conversion are very heavy and a B20 will make you car run very nice too. If you want a V8 conversion i would sugest a Buick 215 engine. That engine is the same as Rover uses and its very common to use this engines here in Sweden.
