Rear end noise solved??

To all who helped me with the mystery of the clnging noise in my 83 242 Thank you. I inspected the bushings and all appeared to be in good condition. I removed the driveshaft and the two axles and all seemed OK but one U-joint was a bit loose so upon inspection it appeared that the bearing cup clip wasn't properly set in the groove of the yolk and a bearing cup was loose as a result.
I put it back together and other than a little chirp at the rubber centre bearing support the car ran noise free. I was wondering how to adjust the rubber support bracket however since it appears that the holes on the bracket are slotted. I loosened up all the bolts then started the car and placed it in gear and let the driveshaft align the bracket as it turned and it seemed to work as the chirping noise disappeared as well. Thanks to everyone who helped.
