brake light switch. 120-130 1967

David and Oliver;

The pressure sensing switches are not adjustable, seem to get more reluctant to work with mild brake pressure and age, and finally won't work with anything but a fast jab and panic stop pressure. This is a common (serious) problem on all so equipped cars, and there's not much one can do to fix the OE design (replacement switches are not much better). Even later Volvo cars went to what I call a Pedal-Position-Sensing-Switch (and have them to this day). I have upgrade kits of similar design and function available, and highly recommend them!

Check: http://www.intelab.com/swem/swemkits.htm

Fix your brakelights before you regret not having done it (possibly from a hospital bed)!

Cheers
