Thanks Chris, I'm waiting for a new set of plugs and wires from The Parts Bin, Their wires are listed at list $61 and their price is $19 so I'm hoping they are better than the Autolite replacements of 6 months ago.
I won't touch that ballast resistor, per your advice.
