knock sensor testing 900 1991

Others more knowledgeable here at Brickboard can tell you more. Meanwhile, I will share my experience. A new knock sensor (KS) shows around 5 M Ohms resistance across its two connectors. I cannot remember the exact figure. If KS on the car now shows K Ohms or infinite resistance, put in a new KS. With either too low or too high KS resistance, ECU retards ignition. This causes hesitation, poor throttle response and lack of acceleration. When you put in a new KS you will notice the difference.
