Color me disappointed. I thought I'd stumbled on something secret...*&^)

Maybe I can hook up a microswitch to my shifter so it comes on when my M47 goes into 5. Or, then again, probably not. Have enough lights in the dash as it is, esp. since I can't seem to get rid of the "Check Engine" light no matter how many times I reset the diagnostics.

Thanks for the surprisingly kind answers, given what a dumb question it was.

Especially you, "Australian for beer", since I left the door wide open...&^)
