Potential Problems 200 1988


You would probably do well to have the timing belt changed before taking any long trips. The manuals will tell you to get it changed every 50,000 miles, but experience has shown me that you are lucky to get 35-40,000 out of one, and you're at that threshold already.

Do the usual pre-trip checklist...oil changed? Belts ok? Coolant system ok? Tires and spare in good shape? Cell phone working? AAA membership in good standing?
