'85 245T Engine Conversion Question... 200

I believe you'll need a distributor and intermediate shaft from a late model 240 to convert the B230FT to the block mounted dist. You will also need to swap over the fuel system and igntion with wiring and computers/sensors.

The question is why do you want to do this? I'm guessing you got a cheap B230FT because B21FT engines aren't THAT expensive. It would be much easier to drop in a replacement 2.1, and this won't be much of a performance upgrade because the B230FT is weaker.

Good luck.
