can't be sure, but it sounds like your turbo is shot. dark/blue smoke and a noisy turbo (exremely accentuated whining or just plain nasty and rough with running problems) are the general indicators. I would NOT run teh car in this condition. Not only will the turbo continue to degrade, but the excessive oil and crud shooting into the cat will kill it and increae the reapir costs considerably.
