Steering woes 140-160 1970

You need to identify where the fault lies, the steering box, the suspension ball joints, or even a track rod end.

Ideally remove the steering rods and turn each wheel independently off the ground.

A classic fault is overadjustment of the steering box to try and get it to behave like a rack, no play on full lock. Subsequent to such misguided adjustment the box has a life span roughly equal to that of a child's ice cream on a hot day.

Regards

Pete
