I think you've a couple problems. Blowing black smoke getting up on boost is almost a sure sign that turbocharger is dying. Send me an email if the Turbo is a Mitsubishi (davesP1800@cs.com).
Secondly I thinl you've a problem in the idle control system or an air/vacuum leak somewhere
