A/C compressor fail again? 700 1989

If compressor siezes or gets stiff it would not causes any additional electrical load but rather the belts would slip get thrown off or there would be an awfull noise. I think your compressor is OK and problem is elsewhere. Possible that you have a bad battery cables and or connections somewhere that is affecting AC operation. Have you observed the compressor clutch to see if it remains enagaged?
