84 240 wagon won't start -please help

Try filling the tank all the way up and see if its starts easier. If that's the case, the in tank pump may have just stopped working, which causes hard starting and the like. I'd also have a good look around at everything to see if a hose cracked or fell off.

Also since the car sat for 2 weeks I'd look inside the airbox to see if a mouse didn't make a nest in there, as that'd plug up the intake system pretty quick.

A third thing to check would be the fuel pump relay, it may have corroded while sitting and could be giving only an intermittent connection. It should be above the passenger footwell. A good way to check it without tearing apart the underside of the dash is to take a piece of wire and jumper the two fuel pump fuse terminals together on the fuse panel near the driver door hinge. When you jumper them, you should try listening for both fuel pumps running, then try starting the car. If it starts, you can be pretty sure it's the fuel pump relay that's gone bad, and you can either buy a new one, or resolder the old one using the 'foster technique'. That should be in the archives. Good luck.
