Thanks, John. I called my Volvo parts folks in Milwaukee, WI today and asked what experience they had. Said that Volvo just denied their being a problem, basically the same as with their wiring harnesses. Strangely, my 93 940 T is a beautifully silent engine while sons and wifes (90 and 91) turbos keep beautiful time slapping away.

BTW, thanks for all the help with the conversion with Gordon. He is like a little kid with a new toy. Good with a wrench too.
