Anytime shocks are replaced, it is a good idea to have an alignment done. The 240 doesn't have any "real" adjustment for caster, just camber and toe. A good alignment/frame shop will be able to achieve a caster adjustment, and go for a 0 to -.5 degree setting on the camber. Volvo specifies a postive camber, which is not so good for handling. I have set up lots of 140's and 240's to this spec, and it works great.
There is little to do with aligning the rear axle except to ensure that all of the bushings are in good shape. Any change in set-back is the result of bushing wear normally.
