This is a repost because I really need to know what to do here.

Ok.... Here goes,

I bought my 1990 740 Turbo from a dealer in New Hampshire last year. The car has been great so far, only a few mechanical problems. This winter I got into a small accident in which my trunklid got a tennis ball-sized dent above the VOLVO emblem. I found a great trunklid at a salvage yard. They are gonna give it to me cheap. Anyway.... I went to put the new lid on and low and behold it doesn't fit. It is way to long. About an inch longer. The years are the same, both 1990. I parked my car up next to the junker and the rear doors are longer on mine. Is this some sort of Long Wheelbase car or what. The car does have a funky ID number next to the VIN under the hood. It has the Bertone stamp too. Any help would be great cuz that ugly wrinkled trunk has to go.
