You should have 2 of them.

The one to go after first is directly behind the cylinder head at 12.00 o'clock.

Check the wires. Pull apart the connector clean it and de ox it.

As for the AMM.... MOST likely you had galvanic corrosion in the connectors. Sorry to say that the mere act of pulling the connector apart may have fixed the problem. This happens a lot on this car.
