Hole tapping question

On my AW-70 transmission, I broke off a fluid pan bolt and could not get it extracted. Just managed to ream out the broken thread, but removed the case threads in the process.

Does anyone know the specs for this pan bolt? It takes a 10mm socket, look to be about 1 1/4" long, but I need to know the thread pitch, etc. so I can get the proper tap.

what would be the nearest size up from this bolt in case the hole in ths case is already too enlarged?

I have a 1/4"- 20 tap which uses a #7 wrench. could I use this?
(threads look too coarse for machine work)
