89' 740 Stalling 700

An easy way to check for TROUBLESOME vacuum leaks is to use a can of ether, or starting fluid. With the engine idling, spray slowly all of your vac hoses. when you get to the vac hose that is bad, your engine will "race" or revv. That is the bad hose. Remove it and see if you can find the trouble spot. (In case you were spraying another close hose).

This only works on vac hoses, not pressure hoses.
