no spark 700 1986

I HAVE 1986 740 gLE 4 dr 4 cyl non turbo it was running fine and then I went to start it and it turns over but does not kick. I checked the spark and I have nothing at the coil, distributor or spark plugs. In between it running and not I was trying to replace the radio. Does any one know where I should check next. I thought I checked the right fuses. But before I start replacing things where should I look. Thanks
