Wire bridge built but still problems 200 1990

I did as you suggested and soldered a wire bridge between the one break.
The other areas, although scorched a bit, tested okay.

I put the board back together and hooked it into the dash. The dimmer rheostat still drops the voltage (indicated on the small volt gauge) to zero. The turn signals no loger glow when the dimmer is turned up.

Unfortunately now my idle and running voltage are in the red (reading just around 10.5) Before I took the board out for repair, I had been able to drive the car with the dimmer all the way off. Don't know what else to try...

I'm thinking about heading to the junk yard to pull an instrument cluster. I'm leaving tomorrow on a driving trip to Hilton Head. If I don't get this sorted out quaick we'll be packed into the Subaru.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
-Doug
