Hi,
I got my recently bought 1965 Amazon going with a minimum of fuss at the weekend: cleaned the carb, squirted some oil in the plug holes, blew some new gas through and away she went. Last started about 10 years ago, said the PO. These are amazingly tough engines. The clutch master cyl was shot, but I had an old one that fitted. The clutch plate was frozen, but I started it in gear and broke it loose. Only one brake caliper works, but for a parts car living in a shed on a farm, I don't think that's worth spending time on. It was fun to drive the old, rusty girl a bit!
BUT, that pesky generator light stays on. I've wriggled all the fuses and connectors, but a multimeter on the B+ terminal of the generator showed no volts. I know generators are easy - I just don't remember what to do! Help please.
