Michael-
I had the same problem on my 90 760 turbo wagon. If I stepped on the gas, the air coming from the dash vents would shut down. On my car it was a faulty vacuum servo. There is a section in the FAQs on replacing the servo with minimal disassembly. I just plugged one of the hoses. Works fine on the dash, but no air to the floor. One of these days I'll get around to replacing the servo.
