Parking brake problems 700 1989

as chris stated, easier to adjust and that's the first step to take. Pull the rear ashtray and turn the plastic screw thing on the right of the hump clockwise to tighten (I think).

however, it is possible the shoes are simply shot and taht tightening will have no effect on brake performance. The reason its such an annoying fix is that you have to pull the calipers and rotors to get the parking brake shoes off. One of those fixes that it makes sense to pull with a larger repair (like a full rear rotors and rear pads replacement).
