good idea? 700

Ok, im looking for a turbo motor to swap into my '79 262C and i think my search may be over. I found a '87 740Ti that was left in neutral and rolled backward into a tree (lol). the guy wants $750 for it. From what i have been told the owner was an anal guy and took good care of it (frequent oil changes and such). there is 140K miles on the motor and it has an automatic tranny in it now but the guy at the shop said he would trade it for an M46 that he has (because i want a manual transmission). what do you guys think? is this a good deal for what im looking for? (the $750 would get me the whole car and im not sure what kind of shape the interior is in but i figure there has to be at least some parts that have parting out value.. right?)
