Thanks to this board I started doing my own brakes and am now a Volvo brake "expert". However I know nothing about timing or other "tune-up" basics.
Even if I put premium fuel in, my daughter's automatic transmission 240 seems to knock, mostly when cruising on the freeway and trying to gain speed or go up a grade in fourth, not so much when accelerating hard from a stop. What should I look at first? What fun toys should I think about buying, like a timing light? I did put in new plugs, wires, distrib cap about 10,000 miles ago.
