If one car has LH 2.2 and the other has LH 2.4, you may have to do some component swapping or perhaps even salvage some additional turbo spec components, depending on which way you go. To avoid buying anything new, just salvage more parts from the Turbo and use its injection and harnesses. I would use whichever car you like more as the base for the project and swap whatever you need. Turbo cars have slightly better suspension and some people prefer the 740 Turbo trim to the chrome non turbo or 760 Turbo trim. The trans can be swapped. Definitely easier to swap a trans than an engine, but if you like the car with the manual trans more, than swap the engine and harnesses if you like it enough to do the extra work. Paul Demeo outlined the details to swap an auto to a manual on a 780T at a website he has. You might be able to search for it. Some of the info would be useful to you, but since you have the full donor car in front of you, it should not be too hard. Remember that Turbos had stronger clutches. You might wish to buy a new one or an aftermarket one.
