You asked me this question on Monday about the boge turbo gas shocks I installed over the weekend:
"I love the Boge Turbo's on 240's, but I put them on a 740 GL we had and was unhappy with them. They seemed rigid and harsh- breaks in the road surface would be very harsh. I have a 1991 745T that will need struts and shocks soon and perhaps I'll try another set of Turbo's. You are happy with ride on marginal road surfaces?"
I don't want to mislead you. Now that I've had a chance to drive for a week with the turbo gas struts/shocks, I still love 'em. However, you're right. When I hit breaks in the pavement, or any semi-serious blips in the road surface, the harsh jolt runs right up the steering wheel. They're great everywhere else - I guess I attribute it to that sometimes 'clanging' feeling you get/got when hitting a baseball with a broken, wooden bat. It can be kinda surprising - but I'm getting used to it. Other than breaks in the road, I like 'em a lot. Good luck.
