Blew the top gasket, eh? Why did it blow? Poor initial installation? Deterioration due to oil leaking on it from a leaky camshaft seal?

Put a few drops of ATF on the ends of that upper gasket. The ATF won't damage rubber, it will be enough to help the gasket seat well, and it's handy to get from the P/S dipstick.
