Ok, I have a Garrett T25. I've shortened the wastegate rod quite a bit, but my boost does not want to rise (it is now stagnant at about 7psi, and has been since I've had this bitch...I know because I do have a calibrated boost gauge). The rod cannot be shortened much more. What are the possible culprits? The thing was just rebuilt about 8 months ago...
Yes, I did secure the locknut to make sure the rod stays put. CBV? Wastegate actuator? I don't think I'm losing any air as I replaced all my turbo hoses when the turbo was rebuilt. I also just cleaned the intercooler and found it had no leaks.
This is a bitch. I'm finally ready to turn up the boost and it won't let me. I was thinking of installing my g-valve and seeing if I can up the boost there, but I want an A/F gauge before I install that sucker. Anyone ever heard of running lean with the g-valve, or am I just a little overcautious?
