compression test? 200 1989

The good ol' Haynes manual gives the B230 and B230E compressions to range from 128-156 psi, ideally even on all cylinders. I would much prefer the value achieved to be closer to the higher figure. The values are the same as the B21 and B21E engines, which is basically a similar mill, I think.

I have carried out many tests with my 'Gunson's Hi Gauge' on many cars (I think it's sold by Actron in the States) and the instuctions and shop manuals always recommend that engine is warm when it is tested, to get an accurate reading.
