Still in the dark about the timing 700 1986

I would appreciate it if one of the Volvo masters out there
will explain once and for all how the timing is adjusted
on an 1986 740T with B230 engine.
I read many a posts on this, yet I’m still in the dark…
Most say it’s computer controlled, yet changes can be
made by rotating the distributor.
