turbo timer 700 1990

I need to put a turbo timer in my car. Can someone who has done this give me advise on the best on for the money and how do I hook this up? I was told at the local store that carries these that it needs to be hooked up to the ECU? If so, what to and where? I have increased my boost to 9-10 psi, up from the 4-5 it was running when I got it. My next thing to put on after this is an electronic boost controller. Any sugestions are greatly appreciated!!
