Frank -- I've converted my two 245s to 3 row. One was an IPD version when they had a sale way back when, and another is an official Nissens which I got from RPR via an eBay bid. Both weren't much more than $100. They both work great in keeping the temp cooler -- the temp gauge has never budged above the 9:00 position after putting these in. I'm not sure if it's due to the 3 row design or it was just a fresh radiator with wide-open galleries and core channels. But it was worth it.

I did it due to fears about the longevity of the originals' plastic side galleries.
