problems with the dash lights 200

Maybe the alternator is not charging until the engine speed increases. Try checking with a voltmeter at the battery to see if the charging voltage is at least 13.5 to 14.5 volts. Are the alternator drive belts slipping? (I'd expect a shrill squeek from them if they were loose.) Also check to see if the connections at the rear of the alternator are tight. If you have a bad wiring harness, you could get all kinds of weird symptoms.
