The clunk should be your trailing arm bushing(s). No big deal, really- You can learn to live with it.
The vibration might be weak u-joints. Extra weight in the car will make symptoms more apparent. IF this is the case, you might want to have a shop fix your bushings and u-joints at the same time. I've heard that u-joints are not fun to try to do yourself.
You may want to slide yourself under the car and check out the u-joints yourself. Grab the driveshaft on either side of a joint, and turn and twist the thing- see if there's any play in the joint, because there really shouldn't be. Also, push up on the joint and again check for movement. You can also jack up the rear of the car, put the thing in neutral, and have someone turn a rear wheel while you're under there- this will allow you to check for clicking or binding or other "fun" stuff that's happening when the driveshaft is moving. Just be sure that the front of the car is secure- cinder blocks usually work well. The ebrake won't be able to help keep the car from moving since it's only in the back, and you want the back wheels to move freely. It's not fun to have a Volvo fall on you.
