Do you have a FULL tank of gas? I mean, to the top? It can make a difference if that in-tank hose is rotten (should fuel supply be an issue).
You could test control pressure and see what the deal is. If the residual pressure dies or the fuel pump can't make enough pressure in the first place, it will run like total crap no matter what you do.
If it is the airflow meter, unplugging it should yield you at least a driveable car. Not a car that's pleasant to drive, but something that's at least operational. I'm thinking your problem could be located elsewhere in the system.
