engine swapping 700

Hi, Volvoer

Would you guys/gals give me your opininon and advice about swapping my engine (B230FT) with a 3.0l 6 cyl.24v 95'960 (B6324). Is it gonna need a lot of work? I put this question because a volvo repair guy said, it is very difficult to install the engine in 700 engine compartment, and the engine will not run. He said the reason is because of the wiring and electrical system is not compatible and the size of the engine is different. But I think it is possible to do without major technical adjustment. The chasis and body (except for rear part) for 700 and 900 is basically the same, dimension and specification, they share a same design an even number (got this from the web). Plase reply.
