2 Coupes 2 questions?

"2] 1981 262 Bertone. BW55 to AW71. Question, are all AW70/71 alike. By that I mean are the 200 and the 700 series Volvos using the same tranny. Also what year did the 700 series have a 6 cylinder engine? Are all 760's 6 cylinder? Are the shift linkage and gear selector the same on the 240 and 700? I know I will need the relay, wiring for relay, tranny mount. Are the crossmembers the same on the 240 and 700.Last but not least is the bellhousing off of a 6 cylinder 700 series. I am missing anything? Drive shaft problems? "

Sounds like you found a dead 760 and you want to know if the trans will work?
Well to clear some things up: NO. The 760 has a 6-cylinder when it's not a turbo, OR if it's a diesel. Two different animals. Three, really. A trans from a 760 turbo WILL work for your car, as noted with the OD relay and related items. You may need the front half of the driveshaft, or a later 240 (85-up) complete driveshaft. The 760GLE has the PRV V6, and it's different at the bellhousing, so forget that one. The 760 Turbodiesel has the godawful ZF 4-spd auto that's also in pre-87 740's, so forget about it (stay far far away).
Best bet for you, I think, would be a 240's AW70 and driveshaft, and that way you'll get all the right parts you need. 1985-up cars, which are starting to be alarmingly plentiful in our local junkyards.
Or you could skip it entirely and find yourself a nice M46... :)
