Update! fixed? 700 1986

i was headed back into town doin around 40 mph and the tach began fliping fron 2500 to 1000 and procided to get worse over the next half miles untillit was bouncing from 0 to 3000 when it hit 0 i would lose all engine power then it would jump back to 3k, at the first stop light she died.
i got her to start just long enough to get me in the center of a main intercection (uphill) and it died agin.
some people helped me push it (bu hand i might add) into a parking lot, where my friend and her son waited for the *geek* (said proudly) to do some thing, so i fiddled around a bit and found the wires that just sort of come out of the engine and went to the computer. so i pulled them looked emm over and they looked allright but i figured there might have been a bad contact. so i whiped out the handy dandy pocket knife and scratched the connector and told the girl in the car to *start her up* and the car started up peachy keen.
it still bothers me thow that some times the tach still twitches tommarow i'm going to bent the connectors a bit tighter and sand every thing i can get to and scrape everry thing else.
