CD-Rom Reference manual for 89' 740 Turbo ?

There used to be AllData CD's sold by Popular Mechanics that would cover imports up to '93 or something. They were okay, but not great as comprehensive manuals. Often lacking in detail. They were good when you needed specs or a quick look at a diagram or photo, although the graphics were often faint. These are no longer available.

AllData now wants consumers to subscribe to their on-line manual including TSB's at www.alldata.com for something like $25/yr for each particular make/model/year. They also sell this service at a special educational rate to libraries covering almost all makes and models over 1-2 years old. It uses a port key for access from an in-library PC. Check your local public libraries to see if they subscribe or ask to have it put on their wish list. Tell them it's cheaper than putting those master Chilton manuals on the reference shelves.
