The cooling loop is pressure only.
You need to add fluid to make up for what's lost- the rate doesn't have to be perfect. You can, however, fill your bucket with water beforehand, and make marks with a magic marker to indicate how full the bucket is with one quart of fluid in it... that way you can gauge how much fluid to add.
