I have been looking for a good deal on an 84 242TI for the last 2 years with no luck!!! I have read, far too often, on this sight how some guy bought a 242 turbo from the dude down the street for 200 dollars and all it needed was a new battery!!!! Where do you guys find these? How come my neighbor has to drive a damn ford and the only car for sale in my neighborhood is an 88 buick!

Every once in awhile I will catch the bug and need a turbo 242 (as in right now) and I scoure every source known to man. I'll finally find one in Tacoma Washington and the guy will want 9000 dollars for it and it has 350K on the clock. Actually last year one came up in Charlotte but before I could get to it it was sold for less than 500 bucks, damn!

You guys with the 200 dollar 242 turbo with low mileage you bought from gandma I want to hear your stories!
