Rattle in engine!! Am I doomed?? 700 1988

On my petrol turbo, if I rev then engine, then let go, there is noise coming from the engine, as if someone is tapp dancing inside, but only from 1000 rpm down to idle and then it goes away again when the revs stabilise.

Any idea?
