Need help with brake pedal removal (Swapping in a manual trans) 700

Hello,

I am in the process of converting my '88 744 Turbo from automatic to manual. All of the conversion parts came from an '84 764 Turbo, and I started to tackle installing the clutch and brake pedals today. The problem is that while I have the assembly unbolted from the firewall I can't even begin to imagine how to pull it out. I'm thinking that the one main obstacle I have is the computer that is bolted to the side of the bracket. Can I just unhook the wiring harness from the computer to get it out? I tried to pull it off, but it only comes off halfway. I saw a phillips head screw at the end that wouldn't come off and removed it, but it still will not come off. Also, will I have to pull the steering shaft? It seems like that would be in the way as well.

Thanks,

Matthew
