Thank you for your input ringlee. My knock sensor is also a sensor in this area, but it is afixed to the block, not the head. So, I am still wondering about this third sensor. If you look through the intake plenum between #3 and #4 -- this is where this mystery sensor is located. the coolant tem is almost directly below the #3 intake runner.
