How much of a DIYer is a paint job?

With the enviro-laws today good paints and the associated products have become very expensive. I could see you spending $200 plus to do a good job on your car by the time your done. Chances are the first time you'll have orange peel or runs unless you are a talented painter.

Consider a shop like Maaco or some discount paint shop. If you want to ensure your car isn't hit with over spray, then offer to tape it up yourself or remove the hood and take it in.
