I can pay for it, I just don't want to. What I couldn't pay for is bent valves and holed pistons. Since that's not going to be the case then I'm golden. Really annoying that I already have the part and I could have done it a month ago for free but I didn't get around to it. The car was on the side of a really busy road, it had to be moved before dark, it was getting dark, the shop was right there. I did learn a valuable lesson though.
