Your very welcome,
You mention that the motor idles at 1100 rpm. Be sure to use a another tach
like a dwell/tach meter for analyzing the motor. My friends 83 flathood that
I help him with idles at 950 rpm the way it's supposed to. However, the dash
gauge reads 1100 rpm when idling warm. So the dash tach appears to be off
a couple hundred rpm. Not the most accurate gauges, I guess. If the idle really is high then I recommend checking the temperature sensor. I believe there is a temperature sensor used by the CIS. When the motor is cold it's supposed to raise the idle. Mine usually only raises it when it's really cold like freezing
or below.
If you really want to troubleshoot the K-jet injection system one of the best
tools to use is the pressure gauge with the valve in the hose. This setup lets
you check system pressure and control pressure. You can also use it to see what
the leakdown time is. All of these pressures are important for good K-jetronic
running. Not that hard to use either. A good meter and the pressure gauge
and you can really check out the fuel injection and CIS systems well. Happy
Rolling!
